About Me

Who Am I?
Other things you may want to know about me and my practice:

-
I’m gentle but straight-talking.
-
I help you process difficulties. I also help you create tangible change in your behaviour, mind, and emotions.
-
You should feel like you are getting something out of sessions. I have thousands of hours of experience. It is my duty to offer you gems to take away.
-
I may give you ‘homework’. Research shows that when people think between sessions they have better outcomes.
-
It’s important that we ‘get on’. - Research shows that having a good relationship influences the treatment outcomes. So, if you do not feel like I am the right person for you I will help you find someone else.
-
I’m healthy – it’s important to me that I ‘practice what I preach’ and that you are seeing someone who is well, to help you.
-
I know what it is like to feel enormous stress and anxiety. I am not immune! But, I have spent years working on myself and treating others so I know the best ways to manage and overcome this.
-
I have a very international background, I am bi-racial, and believe culture is a very important part of our makeup. I am a parent.
-
I am an ally for all diversity.

My Experience:
I have worked in mental health settings for over 15 years including the NHS and independent sectors. After several years as ‘Head of Wellbeing’ for a large mental health service, I now work across the private sector providing tailored psychological therapy, coaching and consultancy services. I specialise in working with high performers specializing in anxiety therapy and stress therapy. I invest all my CPD into this area to ensure I am delivering the high-quality service my clients deserve.
I have worked with 1000's of clients and have helped people who thought things could not get better live happy and healthy lives. Anxiety Therapy and Stress Therapy can be life-changing.
My work is split between my independent practice and working with the largest national provider of corporate clinical psychology, where I provide an in-house service to a leading global law firm.
I have led clinical teams managing and supervising other mental health professionals through their training and qualified practice.
As a psychologist, I have a commitment to research and have been involved in several studies both through City University of London and the Centre for Research in Social and Psychological Transformation.
In addition to working with individuals, I run workshops and have developed mental health strategies for corporations in the UK and EU.
